That’s right, this Black Friday - Cyber Monday weekend, we will not be having a sale. Our holiday store is already full of incredible prices on all of our ready-to-ship items. We are instead promoting the spirit of community, family and giving by donating 20% of our sales, between now and December 22nd, to the LA based LGBTQIA non-profit ProjectQ.
ProjectQ is a non-profit organization founded by Madin Lopez to help LGBTQIA and homeless youth combat bullying, develop self esteem and find an identity for themselves through hair styling. ProjectQ is using hair as a form of social justice. While giving free haircuts to queer homeless youth does not solidify a home for them, it does give them the self-esteem they need to know they deserve a home.
ProjectQ gives over 700 free haircuts to queer homeless youth annually. Hair products, supplies, and resources are purchased using donations. By donating this holiday season, we hope to help a demographic that is in constant danger and raise awareness for this fantastic charity.
